General Information
We are grateful to be working with Susette Gertsch in taking over the outside artists portion of Art Around the Square this year in Midway over the 4th of July weekend. And super excited to host the 2nd annual Wasatch Back Art Festival at the Heber Main Street Park. Both events are located in the beautiful Heber Valley, Utah. We seek to support all artists in selling their original diverse artworks. All work must be the artists original creation, NO BUY AND SELL WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Application
Read the terms and conditions information for important details prior to applying. Send your artist bio, booth shot and 3 images of your art along with requested booth type and which event you would like to participate in to info@WasatchBackArtFestival.com. Please check for confirmation of receipt of application. Applications will be accepted through April 30th.
Acceptance of Offer to Exhibit
Acceptance is not guaranteed. An artist, who is selected and accepts our invitation to exhibit, has implicitly agreed to WBAF terms and conditions. Acceptance notifications will be via email. All artists will need to accept their invitation and remit a booth fee to secure their spot.
Participation in the Wasatch Back Art Festival means you accept a certain degree of responsibility to partner with all artists in creating a positive fine art event. By submitting your application, you agree to support and adhere to all festival rules and regulations.
Booth Type and Fees:
- 10x10’ Booth for individual artist or a shared booth with 2 artists maximum is $200
-10x20’ Booth for individual artist or a shared with 2 artists maximum is $400
Booth fees are due upon acceptance and are not refundable after July 1st.
Booth fees are per event.
Payment
Payments can be made via check, cash, venmo or credit card. Call or email to pay with a credit card info@WasatchBackArtFestival.com or 435-671-2374. Venmo is @JohnnyAdolphsonPhotography with the last 4 digits of the phone 8140. Credit card payments may incur a 3% processing fee.

Set up-Midway:
Thursday July 3rd- Check in starts at 8am, check in prior to unloading. Artists should be fully set up by noon if possible. Show runs through 8pm.
Friday July 4th- there is a community pancake breakfast & parade Patriotic Program starts at 7am. arrive early to catch the crowds- show hours are from 10am to 6pm.
Saturday July 5th- the Farmers market will be happening from 10 to 2 and draws a larger crowd. Show hours are from 10am to 6pm, tear down begins at 6pm.
Sales Tax
Midway City Sales tax is 8.65% Each artist is required to collect and report their own sales tax through the Utah Tax Commission. You will be mailed or emailed your tax form from the State after the event. If you have tax questions contact the Special Event Sales Tax Department directly at specialevent@utah.gov or 801-297-6303.
Set up-Heber:
Friday July 25th- Check in starts at 8am, check in prior to unloading. Artists should be fully set up by noon if possible. Show runs through 8pm.

Sunday July 27th - Show hours are from 10am to 6pm- tear down begins at 6pm.

Display
Artists provide their own tent and/or display equipment. ALL CANOPIES MUST HAVE ADEQUATE WEIGHTS WITH A MINIMUM OF 50LBS ON EACH CORNER. STAKES ARE NOT ALLOWED at either WBAF event this year. Use heavy weights and be prepared for all kinds of weather.
Insurance
Artists must carry their own insurance. If your display were to fall over and hurt someone or damage another artists work, it will be considered your responsibility.
Security
There will be a security detail provided during the nighttime hours of both events. Please plan to secure your booth, close it up on all sides to deter any theft or vandalism. PLEASE NOTE: The previous option to store your art in the Midway Community Center is not available this year.
Unloading and Parking Midway:
Artists may unload at the closest available parking spot to their booth along 100 South. ABSOLUTELY no driving on the grass or on the ICE RINK AREA in Midway. There is limited space available for artist parking. After unloading please move your vehicle to a location some distance from the event to open the unloading zone for other artists. During show hours, please plan to park some distance from the event to allow parking for shoppers. There is very, very limited parking on the 4th of July in Midway.
Unloading and Parking Heber:
Artists may unload at the closest available parking spot to their booth. Limited driving in the Heber City park will be available with prior approval. Do not drive over sprinkler boxes, drive slowly, turn gently on the grass and remove your vehicle as soon as possible. Please move your vehicle to a location some distance from the park to ensure parking options for shoppers. There is ample parking directly to the East across Main Street in the Police Station Parking Lot. Use the crosswalk to return - be very careful crossing Main Street.
Booth Sitters
Booth sitters will be available for short breaks. They are not allowed to sell art or manage sales transactions and are not liable for any loss or claims. Call and/or text Sherry at 435-671-2374 if you need a break during the event.
Location of Booths
WBAF will assign booths with location preferences in the order of booth payments received. WBAF reserves the right to make booth location adjustments as needed but will make every attempt to honor artist requests. Booths are spaced 5 to 10 feet apart to allow for viewing on all sides and to facilitate easier set up and tear down. Please be considerate of your fellow artists.
Art on Display
We wish to build a fine art reputation. WBAF reserves the right to evaluate all art on display for appropriate subject matter.
Images Agreement and Permissions
All participating WBAF artists agree to allow WBAF to use images, photos and video of themselves and their artwork for publicity purposes and to promote WBAF events in general. We encourage all marketing and social media posting that is mutually beneficial.
Take Down Midway
There will be very little parking and many artists packing up at the same time. DO NOT DOUBLE PARK-law enforcement will be monitoring 100 South. Please pack up your artwork and booth prior to bringing your vehicle to the parking area on 100 South. DO NOT PARK ON THE ICE RINK. Proceed with caution. Be considerate of others. DRIVE SLOWLY! Be sure to remove all trash from your space.
